About Me
Experience Makes a Dream Come True
I think my love and passion for event coordinating started when I helped my parents plan for my Quinceanera.
From there, I planned my parents surprise 25th Anniversary Celebration.
That was it, I was hooked.
I tried many other careers in my early twenties. I was a private investigator,
I managed the Jose Eber salon in Saks Fifth Ave., but ultimately I found my passion was the Food and Beverage industry.
I began my career working events and parties as a Banquet Server, a Bartender and then a Banquet Captain. It was then that my love of making quality food came into focus. I pursued culinary school and began working with Abuso Catering Company, in Houston as a Catering Chef. I loved working private events and making people feel special.
For the past 10 years I have worked for several private country clubs in the Houston area. I was the Director of Catering and ran all Country Club events including weddings, golf tournaments, ceremonies, holiday celebrations and private parties. I've felt fortunate to help more than 500 brides plan their dream wedding!
My true calling is my ability to facilitate events where the host families may relax and enjoy their special day. I'm able to work behind the scenes to orchestrate the action so everything appears to run flawlessly. That's what you want and what you can expect from SJ Wedding Design!
